The Art of Trees

Thank you very much. I occasionally do things other than trees, but I like the trees best. If you check my Archive you will see a couple of things I did. My pen of preference is the Zebra F-701 because of its weight and feel. The Zebra ink never globs out on the paper, which allows me to get the fine shading. Mine pen is actually a modified version made from the combination of a Zebra F-701 and a Zebra F-402 which makes it all stainless steel.

The Hole

There is a hole
Within my soul
Which cannot be filled
With light or love
No velvet glove
To show me kindness
Only dark and pain
To bring me blindness
There is an ache
Within my mind
Which sadly
I seem finding
Cannot be quelled
All my hopes
Have been destroyed
And felled
Like an ancient forest
Destined for the mill
There is nothing left
But troubled ground
Where once both
Tree and hill
Did abound
I dreamed of sun
And of hope
But for such things
I only grope
Through the rubble
Which was once
My heart
I tried unending
And did my part
But joy
And happiness
Are not to be
Only pain
And sorrow
Are here for me
I did my best
To be a friend
For both man
And beast
The effort
Led to naught
For kindness
Was nay returned
And by human least

Not something I would normally post, but it does have a tree in it.
